"Cheers Pub is a neighborhood bar located in Friendswood, Texas (20 miles south of Houston). Prior to May 2007, we managed our liquor manually and relied on the controlled pour spouts to ensure our liquor pours were never above 1.25 oz. "Bob’s Place has been using BarVision since its release in 2005. As a local sports bar in a destination/tourist community, our bar is priced to about 22% liquor cost. Prior to our use of the BarVision product we saw our bar costs as high as 32% at times. Soon after the introduction of the BarVision liquor pour system we were able to account for much of the waste and lost liquor that was affecting our negative bar percentages. Through the use of the product we have a much more manageable bar, and our costs have dropped as much as 10%. We now consistently run a bar percentage of 22-24% bar cost.
We use the system daily and monitor the lost alcohol. We post a spreadsheet for our bar staff to see what they have lost during their shifts. "I installed Bar Vision in my new restaurant/lounge in March of this year. Prior to the installation, my liquor cost for the 28 years I've been in business has averaged around 18%. "In November 2009, we installed Bar Vision at Cocomo Joe’s. We have seen a tremendous improvement in the bartenders pours, and are now providing our guests with consistently poured drinks and better recipe adherence.
